Be a part of ensuring the voices of Unpaid Carers are heard and their support needs are recognised in future developments of local services and resources
In-person Forums
Join us for a series of face-to-face forums where we will gather Carers opinions and feedback on the support services that are available on Wirral.

Your insights are invaluable in shaping the future of these services.
Help us understand your experiences and make suggestions to enhance support for all Carers in our community.

Take the opportunity to meet and chat with other Carers, learn about the work the WCA is doing and more importantly, be apart of sharing your journey and lived experience as a Carer.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Online Forums
Participate in the accessible online forums allowing Carers the opportunity to engage with other Carers from the comfort of their own homes, taking part where they would normally not be able to in person.
These platforms are designed to ease the pressure of contributing in the Carer groups whilst balancing their busy lives and caring responsibilities.
We can support Carers to ensure they have a voice in our community, even when they feel isolated and unable to socialise and participate.

Join a supportive community where you can connect, learn, and feel empowered in your caregiving journey.

Focus Forums

Focus Forums are hybrid groups with a mix of in-person and online collaborations to engage Carers and also the option for user group workshops.

These groups will be held with
statutory commissioned services and organisations wanting to collaborate directly with Carers to review available services and resources or explore and assess Carers lived experience and journey's through their caring roles.

Adhoc meetings are held throughout the year and we encourage Carers to get involved so their personal experiences and opinions are recognised and included in the reviews of support.

Carer Consortium

The Carers Consortium is held the last Thursday every month 11am - 12.30pm and enables organisations to come together with the Wirral Carers Alliance and network with other carers services to hear about themes and trends coming out of the Forums and help make change for the future.

This is an opportunity for different organisations, charities, and the voluntary and faith sectors, including community groups to connect and hear what is important to Carers and what can be done collaboratively to improve support and resources for Carers on Wirral.

Carer Consortium
Organisational Forum
As part of Wirral Carers Alliance, we feel it is important to engage with Carer Organisations to help facilitate 'Carers Voices' being considered, and more importantly, heard, in the review of services and support available to them.
This is why we have formed the 'Carers Consortium' Forum.

This Organisational Forum will bring together services so they can hear feedback from the Carers Forums and shape the change and improvements needed so Carers feel more supported and empowered in their caring roles.

Organisations can request to participate in the Carers Consortium and also engage with the forums on important changes they wish to implement.

Meetings are held the last Thursday every month

Partnership Board
The main purpose of the Carers Partnership Board is to support the creation of and oversee the implementation of the Wirral Carers Strategy, engaging with Carers, Carer organisations and other key stakeholders in the strategic planning and development of Carer support and services across Wirral, and building opportunities for improved joint working.
The group will commit to the engagement and participation of Carers in policy making, planning and delivery of services via the Carer's representation at Carers Partnership Board meetings and
sub-groups/forums.
